Halifax pt.1

Christine at Signal Hill, downtown Halifax and me at the Foggy Goggle, Halifax again had a fun night out with Christine. Its a small city but seems like it should be a fun city. We stayed at the University of Dalhousie in the dorm for a great cheap price. Hope to see Halifax again in a better head space, I know Christine loves it.

Halifax pt.2-Janes on the Common

If you're ever in Halifax, NS check out http://www.janesonthecommon.com/, the food was great, one of the top 10 best meals so far this life time. We started with a special of the night these great sweet potato fish cakes with mango salsa that just made my mouth water. As our mains, Chris had the blackened free range chicken breast topped with brie, nicoise butter of sun-dried tom., blk. olives & capers, which was really really good.I had spinach, sage and applewood cheddar stuffed pork chop in an apple cider and whole grain mustard sauce ( so so good! ) we paired our meals with a great Nova Scotia wine, the Jost Muscat, http://www.jostwine.com/, which I thought was very very surprising for NS. And of course no great meal is complete with out a dessert of Choc. Almond cake. The only real down fall was the coffee, no espresso machine!
Over all: I give Janes on the common a 9/10 hahaha like my over all rating counts!
